Цель – развитие коммуникативной компетенции обучающихся через игровую деятельность.

Задачи:

Повысить мотивацию обучающихся к изучению иностранного языка;

Развить и поддержать интерес к стране изучаемого языка;

Развить коммуникативные и творческие способности обучающихся.

Оснащение: доска, раздаточный материал, карта Лондона, видеоролик “Window on Britain”, компьютерная презентация с видами Лондона

Ход мероприятия

Организационный момент

Good morning, dear students! Welcome to our competition! Today we are going to find out what you know about the United Kingdom, about London and its sights and about famous British people.

You will demonstrate your grammar skills, you will show how you can understand the English speech and you will even sing today.

So, let me declare our competition open! We have two groups of students, two teams. The first team is called “Londoners” as I can see. What’s your motto, Londoners? (Our motto is «If you are tired of London you are tired of life»).

The second team is called “Travelers”. What’s your motto? (Our motto is « traveling broadens the outlook»).

OK, let’s get it stated! You will have to pass through some different tasks to get the first prize. Don’t rush! First think, then act. I wish you good luck!

Пока наше уважаемое жюри оценивает вашу работу, мы предлагаем вам игру "Simon Says". Правила игры таковы:
Вы становитесь в круг. Ведущий говорит такую фразу: “Simon says:“Stand up (Sit down, Run, Touch your nose, Jump, Swim, и т.п)" и сопровождает слова движениями, имитирующими названные действия. А пока капитаны заняты творческой работой, нам предстоит не менее сложное дело.

Вы будете соревноваться в знании английских пословиц. Каждая команда получит разрезные карточки с пословицами. Необходимо правильно собрать пословицы и поговорки из 2 частей и приклеить их на лист бумаги. Время на выполнение задания - 5 минут . Максимальное количество баллов – 10.

(УМК В.П.Кузовлева и др. “English-10-11”) для проверки знаний по изученным темам и общего уровня развития по различным предметам. В викторине принимают участие 2 команды. There are a lot of important days for every American. So they have one day in November when all Americans stay at home with their families and eat a big dinner .Can you guess what day do I mean? (Thanksgiving Day)

Ведущий : -You are right. They give thanks for many good things in their lives. Special dinner on this day is called feast. Turkey with stuffing is the main dish. It is served with mashed potatoes, cranberries and pumpkin pie. Apple cider is the drink of the day. Football is the most popular game on this day. For many schools, the Thanksgiving Day game is the most important one of the year. Stores, classrooms, and homes are decorated with turkeys, pilgrims, Indians, wreaths of dried flowers and vegetables. Horns of plenty are also very popular. Charitable organizations serve dinner to needy people. They also send baskets of food to elderly and sick. And now we are going to show you a scene about the history of Thanksgiving Day performed by pupils of the 9 G form.

Characters: Story-teller, the Pilgrims, Indians.

Story-teller: On September 16,1620 the Pilgrims sailed from Plymouth, England. The ship was called the Mayflower, they landed at Plymouth Rock, in Massachusetts, on December 26,1620.

The 1st Pilgrim: Oh, I see a land! Look!

All Pilgrims: Land! Hurrah! Land!

The 2nd Pilgrim: Look! There are people there. They welcome us.

The Indian Leader: Welcome to our land! Who are you? Where are you from?

The 1st Pilgrim: We are Pilgrims. We are from England. We have come for new lives. And who are you? The Indian Leader: We are Indians. We have been living here for a long time. You may stay here and live on our land.

Pilgrims: Thank you very much!

Story-teller: The first winter was a terrible time. The Pilgrims were hungry, sick and cold. Many people died. Then the Native Americans, the Indians, helped the Pilgrims.

The 3rd Pilgrims: We have nothing to eat. Many people have died and many are sick. What shall we do? (Появляются индейцы с корзинками еды).

The 1st Indian: Hello! We have brought food to you: bread, vegetables, fruit, corn, and other things.

The 3rd Pilgrim: Oh! Thank you very much! You have saved our lives! We"ll never forget you!

Story-teller: Spring came. Indians taught the Pilgrims to plant corn, to build houses, to hunt, to fish. In other words - how to survive in America.

The 2nd Indian: We"ll teach you how to plant corn, build houses, hunt and fish. Our land is very rich.

Story-teller: The crops did well, and in the fall (autumn) of 1621 the Pilgrims had a great harvest. They were very thankful and decided to celebrate with a feast. The Pilgrims invited the Indian friends to share this Thanksgiving feast.

The 2nd Pilgrim: Welcome to our Thanksgiving feast! We are grateful to you for many things. But the main is: you helped us when we suffered greatly. And we " l l never forget those days !

Story-teller: Thanksgiving was proclaimed a national day of observance by Congress of the United States in 1941. Today, Thanksgiving is the unofficial beginning of the Christmas season and in many cities Thanksgiving marks the arrival of Santa Claus.

Ведущий : -I think this word means unusual, above average level. Outstanding people can be sportsmen, politicians, artists, military men etc. They were devoted to their country and their aim, had strong wills, were very clever, hard-working and industrious.

Ведущий : -Do you think that the lives of outstanding people are full of happiness and joy?

Ведущий : -No, I do not think so. Their lives are usually tragic and full of struggle. They are not like other people that are why they suffer from envy, jealousy and misunderstanding.

Ведущий : -Do you want to be famous in your future?

Ведущий : -On the one hand, I want to be famous because I want my parents and my country to be proud of me. On the other hand, being an outstanding person is a great responsibility and it is very difficult. So, I do not really know if I want to be famous.

One of the most famous song at that time was “Katyusha”. It was heard everywhere during the war. Millions of people thought that Katuysha was a real girl, who loved a soldier and waited for the letter from him.

After the war the song was spread and sung in English, Spanish and even Japanese.

In September 1944, residents of the city with bouquets of roses greeted their liberators and as one of the soldiers said that while his hands can hold weapons, the roses would never be sprayed with blood. People"s memory retained the name of the soldier; it’s a friendly and melodious Russian name Alesha. With roses, he is immortalized in stone.

Songs played a very important part in people’s lives during the war. They helped to cheer everyday life and boosted the morale of the soldiers. There were all kinds of songs – patriotic, sentimental, danceable, and humorous.

The late 30s and early 40s produced some of the best and most enduring war songs. Sixty years later they are still popular and continue to be played worldwide.

One of such songs is “Coming in on a Wing and a Prayer” written by a famous American composer Jimmy McHugh.

It came out at the end of 1942 and immediately became a huge hit on both sides of the Atlantic.

In 1943 it was translated into Russian and was first sung by Leonid Utyosov. Nowadays the modern version of the song “ Бомбардировщики ” is performed by the group “Chizh & Co”

You all remember The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010. It was held at the sports complex

The United Nations Children"s Fund (UNICEF) was a partner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Organizers of Junior Eurovision 2010 wanted to attract attention of the general public to children with special needs. Some of the tickets for rehearsals and the televised show were given away to Belarusian orphans (сироты) and children with disabilities.

Эти учащиеся активно участвуют в общественной жизни школы, являясь членами совета гимназистов. Им уже знакомы ученики 5 класса, у которых они проводили урок английского языка в День самоуправления.

При планировании мероприятия в основу был положен системно-коммуникативныйподход, позволяющий пятиклассникам представить себе Шекспира как личность, автора бессмертных произведений, а также актера, и самим поучаствовать в беседе со старшеклассниками.

Цели:

Формирование у учащихся 5 класса лингвострановедческой компетенции с помощью материала, посвященного Уильяму Шекспиру;

Формирование у учащихся 10 класса чувства ответственности за проведение мероприятия.

Задачи:

Ознакомить учащихся 5 класса с информацией о жизни и творчестве великого драматурга;

Заинтересовать учащихся 5 класса зарубежной литературой;

Привлечь к проведению мероприятия учащихся 10 класса.

Мероприятие состоит из двух частей:

1. Рассказ десятиклассников тех фактов из жизни Шекспира, которые интересуют их самих.

2. Сценка «Чудесный сон» в стихотворной форме (автор стихов – Крюкова Нина Юрьевна).

В сценке некоторые герои произведений Шекспира отвечают на вопрос, заданный великим драматургом: живы ли его герои сегодня и нашлось ли им место в современном мире? В итоге сделан вывод о том, что люди по сути своей, несмотря на прогресс, остались такими же, какими были более четырех столетий назад: они так же любят, страдают, предают…

Разработка мероприятия может быть использована любым учителем (и не только английского языка, т.к. материал на английском языке, в случае необходимости, может быть просто исключен).

При проведении мероприятия используется компьютерная презентация, составленная старшеклассниками, а также видеоклип Аллы Пугачевой «Сонет Шекспира №90».

Ход мероприятия

Ученик 1 (обращаясь к пятиклассникам) : Ребята, вы, наверняка, не раз слышали имя великого английского драматурга Вильяма Шекспира. Если вы знаете названия каких-нибудь его произведений, называйте их и не стесняйтесь, потому что это здорово!

Как правило, ученики называют такие произведения, как «Ромео и Джульетта», «Гамлет», «Король Лир».

Ученик 1: А знаете ли вы о том, что Шекспир стал драматургом потому, что очень хотел быть актером и даже создал свой театр «Глобус», в котором сам играл на сцене, но вот платить известным драматургам за то, чтобы они писали пьесы для театра, Шекспиру было нечем. Так получилось, что жизнь заставила его писать комедии, трагедии и драмы, которые и составляют основную часть его литературного наследия.

Ученик 2 : Всего Шекспир написал 37 пьес. Среди них те произведения, которые вы назвали («Ромео и Джульетта», «Гамлет», «Король Лир»), а еще такие пьесы, как: "Генрих VI", "Ричард II", "Ричард III", "Комедия ошибок", "Укрощение строптивой", "Сон в летнюю ночь", "Двенадцатая ночь", "Юлий Цезарь", "Отелло", "Король Лир", "Макбет", "Антоний и Клеопатра". Вы наверняка обратили внимание на то, что некоторые произведения Шекспира посвящены конкретным историческим личностям. Вы можете назвать их?

Пятиклассники называют.

Ученик 3: Я расскажу вам о необычном театре, который был создан Шекспиром. Этот театр назывался «Глобус». Вы можете увидеть на картинке, как выглядел этот театр. Интересно, что декораций в театре не было, вместо них были таблички, на которых было написано: «поле», «река», «лес» и так далее.

Ученик 4: Многие фразы, вышедшие из-под пера Шекспира, стали “крылатыми». Они известны как на русском, так и на английском языке. Вот некоторые из них:

Brevity is the soul of wit .

Краткость - душа ума.

Cowards die many times before their deaths.

Трусы умирают много раз, прежде чем умереть совсем.

A friend should bear his friend"s infirmities.

Человек должен относиться терпимо к недостаткам своего друга.

Wise never sit and wail their loss, but cheerfully seek how to redress their harms.

Мудрые люди никогда не сидят и не оплакивают свои потери, а бодро ищут пути возмещения ущерба.

All the world"s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.

Весь мир - театр, и люди в нем актеры.

Давайте попробуем произнести эти великие фразы вместе с вами на английском языке (пятиклассники произносят фразы вслед за десятиклассником).

Ученики 1 и 2: Уильям Шекспир писал сонеты. Вы знаете, что это такое?

Возможно, кто-то из пятиклассников знает ответ, в любом случае десятиклассники рассказывают.

Сонет – это стихотворение, но не совсем обычное, оно должно обязательно состоять из четырнадцати строф: трех четверостиший и одного двустишия. В своих сонетах Уильям Шекспир писал о жизни, о смерти, о любви, выражая в них свое отношение к окружающей действительности.

Мы представим вашему вниманию один из сонетов Шекспира и прочитаем его на английском и на русском языках.

Lo in the orient when the gracious light

Serving with looks his sacred majesty,

Когда вы слушали английский вариант, то, скорее всего, вам не все слова были понятны. Это не только потому, что вы знаете пока еще не очень много английских слов. Дело в том, что во времена Шекспира английский язык значительно отличался от того варианта, который мы с вами изучаем сегодня. Многие слова произносились иначе, а некоторые отличались и по написанию. Кто-то из вас может сделать исследовательскую работу и сравнить современный английский язык и язык Шекспира.

Ученик 3: Ребята, наша учительница написала небольшую сценку в стихах для мероприятия, посвященного Уильяму Шекспиру. Сейчас мы выступим перед вами в роли драматических актеров, то есть будем заниматься любимым делом Шекспира. Итак, представьте себе, что вы – зрители в театре «Глобус»:

Ведущий:

Приснился мне чудесный сон,

Из памяти не стерсяон…

В том сне явился мне Шекспир -

В нем целый, необъятный мир.

Спросил меня великий гений,

Знакомы ли его творенья

Живущим в веке двадцать первом,

Тревожат ль сердце, душу, нервы?

Ответу был безмерно рад,

Сказал, что выше всех наград,

Дороже всех сокровищ света

Известие, что зимой и летом

Спешит в театр и стар, и млад –

С Шекспиром встрече каждый рад!

Над чем-то поразмыслив, вдруг

Спросил великий драматург:

«Что ценно в жизни современной –

Любовь, здоровье ли отменное,

Надежда, вера, сила, дружба –

Каким быть в этой жизни нужно?»

Пока я думал что сказать

И как с волнением совладать,

Вдруг чудо новое случилось:

Тоскуют, ждут, надеются, теряют…

Вы их несете даже в школьный класс!

Я счастлив, что мечта моя сбылась:
